HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

growing up is a funny thing. when i was a little lizzie i could never have imagined MY MOM as a child. because she was always MY MOM. but now, as we celebrate another year of her life, it’s interesting to look through gorgeous photos of her youth and imagine how she lived life at my age. and it’s bizarre to realize i haven’t always known her. she lived an entire life without me, my brother, my sister, or even my dad there.

it’s interesting to see photos and remember who was in the photos at that time, and who would be in the photos today. i’m pretty happy with who my mom decided to keep around and who she wanted to be in photographs with.

22 was a whole lot calmer than 21. and just what the birthday doctor ordered for this ole lady. i have been battling a cold and the start of my FINAL semester at college. so i wasn’t interested in a crazy night. but my day was perfect. my lovely friend aana took me out to breakfast, i went to work where i was surprised with a pretty dessert, and finally i met my roommates and some friends at one of my favorite bars, j bar in the gaslamp district of san diego.

thanks for the birthday wishes! and cheers to another year of life! and can you even BELIEVE the first month of 2012 is nearly over? i’m excited to share a couple of my new years resolutions that i’ve started/ almost completed! how about you? have you been happy thus far in 2012?

twas the night before 22

tomorrow i turn 22. this time last year, i was turning 21 in galway, ireland.

i had a pretty bitchin’ 21st year of life if i do say so myself. and by golly i think i’m ready to be 22. bring it on wisdom, maturity, and wrinkles. let’s see if you can take down this child they call lizzie.

i’ve been 21 for 6 months now. i’m 6 months closer to being 22. yoowzza. where does time go? i’ve had an amazing time being 21 and i can only imagine how much fun i’ll have over the next 6 months. here’s my dream 1/2 birthday wish list *hint*hint* ….
