growing up is a funny thing. when i was a little lizzie i could never have imagined MY MOM as a child. because she was always MY MOM. but now, as we celebrate another year of her life, it’s interesting to look through gorgeous photos of her youth and imagine how she lived life at my age. and it’s bizarre to realize i haven’t always known her. she lived an entire life without me, my brother, my sister, or even my dad there.
it’s interesting to see photos and remember who was in the photos at that time, and who would be in the photos today. i’m pretty happy with who my mom decided to keep around and who she wanted to be in photographs with.
happy birthday mom! i love you like crazy.
if you’re lucky enough to know my mom, you’re lucky enough
happy birthday conner! i cannot believe you’ve been in our lives for 2 YEARS now! i love you, i miss you, and i hope you have the best birthday ever.
i was inspired by this to make conner’s lil baby silhouette above. isn’t pinterest just the greatest?
if you’re lucky enough to have a nephew like conner, you’re lucky enough
steve jobs’ name is synonymous with exceeding expectations. and for steve, his mind, and his products i am so grateful.
his death hit me hard. my parents both texted me to make sure i was handling the news okay. and my friends were supportive of my ultra emo mood. i was in a funk all day. as a loyal fan and buyer, a stock holder, and a believer in all things creative, i truly mean it when i say iSad.
steve jobs your legacy will live on in all matters of innovation and creativity. {image via}.

in 1759, history was made when arthur guinness signed a 9,000-year lease on the famous st. james’s gate brewery in dublin, ireland. so today is your day arthur! may we all raise our glasses to your legacy.
you guys know how my heart aches for ireland. i wish i was there to celebrate this glorious day with all my friends in our very favorite country. but, don’t you worry, i’ll pay tribute to mr. guinness tonight too. i plan to celebrate by having dinner and drinks at an irish pub this evening.
how will you celebrate? do you like guinness?
if you’re lucky enough to enjoy a pint of guinness, you’re lucky enough (thanks arthur!)
